How Social Media and the Experience Economy Can Work Together
VisitSweden needed some Swedes to answer questions about Sweden. The idea behind it is that the people how live in the area, or who have their own special place, will always be the best at talking about somewhere.
Travel today is researched online and we trust our peers – we trust other people who have first hand experience.
The planning of CommunityOfSweden started in 2006. They were open from the start, Tommy Sollen blogged about the project.
The name of the project was a huge challenge – so they wanted to ask on the blog, but couldn’t because of domain camping issues.
CoS went live on the 1st of November.
The main purpose of the site is to inspire people to travel to Sweden – and have people inspire each other. All the content on CoS is geo-tagged, som users can always see where something has come from.
Italians are the most active users on CoS.

Now what? They want to get their content out there. Having people come to the site to find it is far too school.
Twitter is so easy and simple, and they are looking in to how they can better use it. Maybe hash tags, so they can aggregate content.
