Jeg skal medvirke ved en international konference om fremtidens turisme i Egypten senere på ugen, inden da besøger jeg Nigerias hovedstad Abuja, hvor jeg skal drøfte et nyt initiativ som Seismonaut overvejer at engagere sig i, og Dubai, hvor formålet er at se nærmere på brugen af sociale medier. I en serie af korte videoblogs vil jeg dele observationer og betragtninger fra denne spændende rejse.

Here at Seismonaut we are involved in a great number of exciting projects. One of them is focusing on introducing the XO laptop (formerly known as the $100 laptop) in an educational context in Nigeria. In a series of 3 blog posts through December I will be sharing updates on the progress of this project. In the first post (link here) I discussed what the greatest impact of the project has been… Today I will focus on the challenges of establishing a successful project in Nigeria and a little on the digital skills being picked up by the school children.

Seismonaut has teamed up with the Danish NGO Sudanmissionen to launch an OLPC pilot project in Nigeria. The Danish NGO has more than 50 years experience in creating and supporting educational programs in west africa, this however will be the first time the organization will be able to comprehensively evaluate the idea of giving laptops [...]
