Mobile Media Morning Seminar in Aarhus
Today we held the second of two morning seminars, this one about mobile media. 100 people had signed up, unfortunately we could only fit 70 in – we will be improving on this next time, apologies to anyone who couldn’t attend.
The speakers were Helen Keegan from BeepMarketing and Jacob Møller from Kiloo. Helen spoke of current trends in the mobile area, as well as displaying so facts. Here are a few of her key insights:
Mobile is truly personal medium
Always carried
First always-on mass medium
In-built payment mechanism
Creative tool, creative impulse
Potential for accurate capture of customer information
The impact of these key points are that we now have nearly ubiquitous internet access and expectations are being set at a high level. Interestingly content creation is all but as important as consumption, perhaps because mobiles are the first truly “always-on” media type. She described our attitudes towards this as “continuous partial attention”, which is quite insightful.
Jacob Møller spoke from a developer’s perspective and gave us some insight into how one actually produces and works with mostly mobile games. Kiloo work with some fairly weighty players, such as Lego, EA, Fox, Turner and Disney. The company started very small and now has the world as its marketplace – small beginnings in Aarhus needn’t stand in your way.
Currently no more seminars are planned and this give us a unique opportunity to make the next ones about what you want! Please leave a comment if you have a great idea for the next, probably free, morning seminar i Aarhus.
And we are working on the space issue
