This morning the folks over at Star Tour launched a brand new travel community at www.rejse-tips.dk. Behind the down to earth title Rejse Tips (Travel Tips) and silly use of stock photo imagery (come on guys I’ve seen that Maldives beach on at least 10 other travel sites) – rejse-tips.dk offers a decent user experience. Registration is fast and easy and so is the process of sharing tips on that great boutique hotel in Bangkok or best place for a good lunch in Copenhagen. All content is user generated except the contextual adds at the bottom of each page providing info on the package holidays organized by Star Tour and it’s partners.

I am fully aware that there are a large number of similar travel communities out there (and probably some which are much better), yet it’s not everyday that we see initiatives like the one taken by this danish travel agent, and therefore it will be interesting to watch how (and if) this community will gain momentum in a Danish context.
