Debut On a Talkshow
Last week, we had a meeting with the CEO of TV2 Østjylland (a local tv-station) about a new assignment we’re working on. At the end of the meeting we were chatting about different things – among others our engagement in the $100 laptop project. Much to the CEO’s surprise, Anders pulled out the XO laptop of his bag and showed it to him. That really ignited the man and he immediately called the host of the station’s talkshow, so that she could come down and plan an interview. She was thrilled, and the result could be seen last week, where Anders is doing a real show and tell on the Talkshow. Check it out here (in Danish, though), it’s about 6 minutes long, and very informative.

It is really cool to experience how fascinated and inspired people are about this project. It’s as if the laptop and the idea catches something in people, even those without the least interest in technology and the developing countries. The XO computer is a very powerful communicative physical statement. Something most brand managers and marketers could learn a lesson or two from.
